Restaurant PR.. Tastes so good!
Food really is everything, who doesn’t love food!? Going out for dinner can symbolize something special, there are new memories created, and many firsts, seconds and thirds! In most dining experiences with the good comes the bad too, we are always looking for good service, expectations are high when trying a new place or an old favorite! As the customer we must understand that restaurants can also have a bad day, and patience and kindness goes along way! Hopefully the restaurants we love and want to love can keep up with the demands and desires of most customers, I know that’s the goal! That’s why I love working with restaurants, heading the people relations portion of restaurant openings and events fires me up! Creating excitement and helping facilitate a positive experience is why I do what I do! So when Boothbay Lobster Company asked New View PR to represent the brand for their Harbor Point, Stamford opening it was a great moment. BBL is a place that has the truest of hearts, the creation of the casual setting with a fine dining feel, has been thought out with pure consciousness. From their reclaimed wood surrounding the interior, to the lighting and bar design, the bar offers a full view of every angle of the restaurant which creates connection. My personal favorite is the light house and projector that live streams right from the waters of Maine, so that the customers can track their lobster and be assured that it is of the most sustainable quality from catch to plate, into your belly!
What goes into doing the PR for a restaurant launch? Meetings and meetings of discussions to verify the mission, language and voice, strategy and planning from who to reach, who to invite, what media write ups are needed, and how to create the most excitement within the community and beyond to secure happy customers!
I must say as far as opening goes BBL has been wonderful to work with! Easy communication and execution has been the experience. With months of anticipation we are finally here, the doors are open to the public for lunch and dinner with a media event planned, and a Grand Opening set for Weds. August 10th, with special guest Mayor David Martin! We are ready for Fairfield County and beyond to taste why we say our seafood is #wickedfresh!
